When Kraemer Brothers constructed the Hilton Garden Inn – Milwaukee Airport for a valued client in 2010 we were told to expect to return and build a second hotel on the adjoining property. In May, almost five years after completing the HGI, we will break ground for a Home 2 extended stay hotel there. The site is ready and waiting. While we were there five years ago we demolished a building in preparation for the would-be project that will be constructed from May to February of next year. The project will be a three-story, wood frame hotel with 100 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, kitchen and 63,000 square feet in total, with an exterior facade including burnished block, EIFS, metal panels and cement board siding. It will be our 29th hotel project for our long-time client.
